With increasing energy costs, consideration of carbon emissions, and the introduction of Part L of the building regulations, our customers are becoming more and more aware of the need to address these issues. For example, where suitable, power usage can be made more efficient with the use of power factor correction equipment

A number of energy efficient lighting solutions can be applied including the use of high frequency fluorescent fittings with the latest fluorescent technology tubes. Compact fluorescent light bulbs can be employed in place of tungsten and halogen lamps where possible – the use of Eco-flood style fittings instead of halogen flood or SON 70 flood lights for example.

For customers with existing discharge lighting and switch start fluorescent fittings installed, we can install Fluoresave units (see pictures below). The units which can be relatively easily retro fitted to most installations are able to reduce the current usage of the fittings after a set period of time – i.e. after the lamps have struck, following which the consumption required falls. These units can achieve excellent results and can frequently achieve savings of 20% to 30% on the customer’s electricity bills.
