As a company we began trading with Ray in 1959, when he retired we worked with Gerry for many pleasurable years, it is great to see him in the office from time to time, still keeping his hand in.

Life moves on, Matt and the latest generation are giving the same service, help and advice as we have had for the last 50 years. "Ray Butler Ltd is probably the only company in the local area with the expertise, experience and capabilities to carry out much of the specialised industrial installation work we require.

In the 11 years I have worked at Staples Disposables Ltd, the UK's largest independent paper converter, Ray Butler Ltd has always been able to cope with every aspect of electrical installation I have asked it to do.  Quite often this has involved a significant degree of mechanical engineering in order to support the tremendous weight of the supply cables that run round the factory, both overhead and around the walls.  All the work is planned, calculated, installed and tested in accordance with both our site regulations, (which they fully respect and adhere to) and to the latest edition of the wiring regulations, currently 17th Edition.

Our new 1,600A supply and distribution, installed in January this year, was designed and installed by its team and is itself a testimony to their expertise, skills and dedication to complete a task in a short timescale, working around many other tradesmen. They were able to source and install parallel 630mm² tails in a trefoil arrangement and were authorised to connect directly to our new transformer supplied by Central Networks. They have the equipment and experience to handle very large steel wire armoured cable installations. Their work is always carried out to extremely high standards and they are able to meet very tight deadlines as demonstrated above which is a pre-requisite for almost every installation task I have instructed them to carry out.

Ray Butler Ltd has a number of very experienced equipment engineers and have helped with the dismantling and re-commissioning, including fault finding of high speed process machinery.
They have wired our new offices, chemicals production line, wet wipe line, and various projects throughout our new industrial site.
